St. George’s Forane Church, Edappally is one of that kind. It is believed that Thomas the Apostle, one of the Twelve Apostles of Jesus, founded the church in 1 CE. The church has history from the 6th century. In the 10th century, the new church was built near the old one. In 2015 the third church was built to accommodate the growing number of devotees. Irrespective of caste and religion, a lot of people are devoted to this church, currently, the entire church can accommodate 10,000 people.

5. Indo-Portuguese Museum – It was built in a Bishop house established in 1910. The museum was initiated by Bishop of Kochi Dr. Joseph Kureethra
6. St.Francis church – It is one of the oldest European churches in India. Originally built in 1503, it was in this church that the mortal remains of Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama were buried
