The Nishagandhi Dancefestival, conducted by Kerala Goverment Tourism Department is a seven-day cultural fiesta is held in the Nishagandhi Auditorium at Thiruvananthapuram the state capital city. Eminent dancers perform in Odissi, Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Manipuri, Mohiniyattam, Chhau, and Kuchipudi dance forms.

- From 2013 onwards Nishagandhi puraskaram annual award was instituted by the Tourism Department of Kerala in India to honour personalities in the fields of music and dance
