History of Basant Utsav at Shantiniketan

Debendra Nath Tagore built an ahsram in Bolpur area and called it Shantiniktan, which later became the name of that area in 1863
His son Rabindranath Tagore started a Brahmacharyaashrama in 1901
Rabindranath Tagore introduced the celebration of Basant Utsav at Shantiniketan
