According to geologists 65 millions years ago a six miles ( roughly 10kms) wide asteroid hit the Tulum region with an impact of explosion of 10 billion atomic bombs together. People still believe the energy impact during the collision was so huge that still the place is radiating with energy . Later it was turned into an important Mayan city with their healing techniques and medicinal herbs. It became a much sought after healing destination in modern times. It is supposed to be a vortex.

History of  Tulum

1. The Mayans migrated into the Yucatán after approximately 1800 BC, establishing ceremonial centers throughout the region
2. Tulum was first mentioned by Juan Díaz, a member of Juan de Grijalva’s Spanish expedition of 1518, the first Europeans to spot Tulum
3. Archeologists have found an early classic stele at the site, with an inscribed date of AD 564
4. Since 1970s it turned out to be a spiritual and healing destination
