This is a Roman Catholic Latin Rite Basilica  dedicated to Our Lady of Good Health.

A simple chapel was initially built by some Portuguese sailors who washed ashore safely in 17th century.  Being one of the most frequented pilgrimage centres in India, this is also known as “the Lourdes of the East”

This place is around 150 km from Trichy and around 300 km from Chennai
