Konark dance festival is an annual event conducted on the back drop of Sun Temple. This event attracts thousands of tourists to see the classical performers from across the country present their talent . The Sun temple itself is an epitome of fine craftsmanship of ancient Indian scutlpors depicted in stone. The tickets range from Rs.15,000/- for VIP Gold class to Rs.25,000/- for couple pass for five days from. Single person packages are also available for Rs.10,000/-

History of Konark Dance festival

In ancient times itself dance performances were held at Salamander the dancing hall of Konark temple
Guru Gangadhar Pradhan took initiative in starting the Konark Dance Festival
The Konark dance festival was started in 1986 by Odisha State Government to promote Konark and Odisha state as a whole as a tourist destination
This year is the 34^th edition of the festival
Around 850 dance troupes have performed in Konark dance festival till date
