Dahab is a city near dead sea.The red sea swimming is supposed to improve blood circulation. The water is believed to reduce skin inflammations also. The local belief is that the sandy beaches contain trace minerals and black sand, which can be used to treat rheumatism and arthritis. It is also believed that a swim or bath in sea water is good for people with less immunity.

History of  Dahab

1. Dahab was a part of Nabataean Kingdom.
2. During 168 BC–106 AD was a fishing port and a place of trade along the trade routes of the Sinai Peninsula
3. The demise of this Kingdom came about with the death of its last King Rabbel II Soter in 106AD
4. Later Romans captured it
5. The city became a holiday resort during the hippie movement in 1970s
