This is a unique event conducted in Amsterdam .During the Amsterdam Light festival period, light artworks and installations designed by contemporary (international) artists, designers and architects were exhibited in the city specifically for the occasion. This year theme for the event is “Disrupt”.

History of Amsterdam Light Festival

The Amsterdam light festival is celebrated since 2012
In 2017 the land exposition took place at the Marineterrein Amsterdam and artist Ai Weiwei participated by providing the entire canal belt with his longest work “thin line” ever
In 2017-18 edition it attracted 9,00,000 visitors
The current edition is happening since 28^th November 2019 to 19^th January 2020
